Program Purpose

The Foundation Program introduces children to tennis as a tool for movement education and healthy physical activity. The primary goal is to help participants develop basic motor skills, confidence, and enjoyment of movement in a safe and supportive environment.

This program emphasizes participation and learning rather than skill evaluation or outcomes.

Educational Focus

The Foundation Program focuses on:

  • Fundamental movement skills such as coordination, balance, and spatial awareness

  • Introduction to basic tennis movements using age-appropriate equipment

  • Development of attention, cooperation, and positive social interaction

  • Understanding simple rules and respectful behavior

Activities are delivered in a play-based, exploratory format appropriate for young children and beginners.

Target Participants

  • Age range: Generally 6–10

  • Experience level: No prior tennis experience required
